While Balko surrenders to alcohol full of self-pity after the death of his Spanish wife, things couldn’t go better with Krapp. At least until he is accused of murdering a waitress after a party organized by the German gun manufacturer Oswald in Puerto de la Cruz. Unfortunately, he cannot remember the night in question and so he and his old friend Balko go to look for the real culprit. But they are not the only ones looking for the truth. Commissioner Alicia Ruíz is the responsible investigator on site and she is doing everything possible to ensure that these two German ex-police officers do not interfere in their case. Especially since one of them is her adoptive father, with whom she has not exchanged a word for years.
